conveniently, our visit to lacma on saturday corresponded with the opening day of their pacific standard time show (more on PST here) on california modern design. mid-century modern furniture and housing is one of my favorite time periods to study. everyone was optimistic and all the design was innovative. along with furniture, the exhibit included jewelry, clothing and textile from the era. they even had a full size model living room of the eames's famous pacific palisades home (no pictures allowed). i told mr.c it just felt like i was home.
